The message “routerlogin.net does not work” will appear if you enter the wrong IP address. In most routers, the default gateway is IP 192.168.1.1. But the IP address may vary depending on the type of router.
Incorrect credentials may conflict with the IP address of the router. So, if you can not use the bone, we recommend that you go to the next section. Here we are offering possible methods to get rid of the login error that does not work immediately.
Possible ways to fix “routerlogin.net does not work
In this section, we are providing a set of solutions to fix the “route login error does not work”. All you have to do is use the mentioned methods to fix 192.168.1.1 and log in with the router.
Method 1: Check the important factors
To get back to the bone log in, you need to check certain information. If you have installed the router incorrectly, it will limit you to logging in to the router. So it is recommended to look for the criteria below:
First of all, you need to check the Power Led router. If you see the light flashing or showing a red or off signal instead of green, then there is a problem with the bone.
If the LED light is constantly flashing, you will need to upgrade the bone fixture in that case.
If you notice a red or no LED light, it indicates that the problem is with the internet connection.
Note: However, all lights are on, this indicates that the Netgear routers receive a sufficient network signal from the ISP. So to fix the problem and get to the login page of the route, you need to follow simple steps:
First, make sure that the Ethernet cable is also connected to the router, modem, and computer. Check that the devices’ cables are connected properly.
Note: If any of these cables are defective, we recommend that you modify the wires to avoid further failure.
Check that you have entered the correct IP address of the router.
Also, do not forget to check the username and password when you open routerlogion.net.
Still can’t access the router’s login page or get the message “routerlogin.net doesn’t work”? Then, we recommend that you go through the steps below to fix the problem.
You can run any malware to make your device virus free. Malware can infect the ability to authenticate to router.net.
Try logging in from a different browser to check if the problem is in the browser.
And finally, you can proceed to reset the router to the factory default settings.
Method 2: Disable the proxy server
If you still cannot go to the router login page and routerlogin.net does not work, then you need to check the proxy server and then disable it. To change the proxy server settings, you need to follow the steps below:
Open your computer, and then scroll down to the home screen.
From there, search for the “Internet Access” section and tap it.
You will get the “Network and Sharing Center”.
Then tap “Internet Options” and then look for “Proxy Enabled”.
Go to the “VPN or proxy server” option and right-click on it.
From the drop-down menu, choose the “Disable” option.
Sometimes there are chances that you will receive pop-up blocking and security-related messages. So in such cases, you will not be able to get the router login page.
To stop receiving messages, you need to open your web browser and then go to the “Tools” tab. Choose “Disable pop-up lock options.”
Method 3: Clear the DNS cache
Deleting DNS helps users improve network performance. Therefore, we recommend that you delete the DNS to return to the internet connection in the router.
This allows you to connect to your device. But, depending on the operating system, the deletion process may vary.
How to remove DNS cache from Windows operating system to fix problem routerlogin.net not working?
To delete DNS, you need to apply 3 simple steps in the Windows operating system.
First, tap the Start button and then go to the search box.
In the search box, type “Run.” Press the Enter button next to the Run dialog box.
When the Run dialog box appears on the screen, type “cmd”. Click the “OK” button and the Command Prompt window will appear.
In the Command Prompt window, type the command “Break DNS”.
Press the “Enter” button again,
If you applied the above method in the exact sequence, you will be able to clear the DNS cache.
Mac OS X Operating System
If you are a Mac OS X user, you must follow these steps to clear the DNS cache:
Go to the home screen and move to the Applications section.
Tap it and select the “Utilities” option.
Right next, tap on the “Terminal” option.
From there select the “Command Prompt” option.
When the Command Prompt window appears on the screen, write “flush DNS” in it.
Press the “Enter” key to execute the Command.
After clearing the DNS cache, you will be able to fix the router login not working. And, if you want to clear the internal DNS cache, you need to check the steps mentioned below:
Google Chrome
Google Chrome has a separate internal DNS cache. It will be loaded with the searched item. It is high time that you should clear the cache. And the added DNS Cache can create problems accessing Chrome.
As a result, you will not be able to enter the router login page. To clear DNS Cache in Chrome, you have to go through the steps mentioned below:
Open Google Chrome Browser. Go to the address bar and write “chrome://net-internals/#dns: in it.
You’ll see a list of hosts in Chrome’s internal DNS cache. Tap the “Clear host cache” option.
Open the address bar again and then write “chrome://net-internals/#sockets”.
A window will appear on the screen, option “Close idle socket” from there.
Tap the “Flush Socket Pools” option to clear the cache from the browser.
Now, you will be able to enter the router login page and if you are still unable to do so when the login page appears on the screen. There you have to write “192.168.1.1”. Enter the correct username and password for router login.
Next, move to the “Maintenance” tab and tap on the “set password” option. Write down the password you just set and the existing password. Click the “Apply” button to save the current password.
